Many
times, when we think of networking, we think of getting others to help us or how
our expertise might assist others. What often gets overlooked is aligning
ourselves with our own intentions FIRST, then moving ourselves to invite
others into an equation of mutual success and reciprocating happiness. As the
maxim goes, if we don’t know where we’re going, any road will take us there (and
we’re very likely to not recognize our destination until we’ve come and gone!).
And
that brings us to who’s sitting in the Principles Office today: Joanne Victoria
and Romanus Wolter, authors of the new book, Pushy For A Moment.
When
I first heard the title, I thought this book would be about motivating others to
action. I quickly learned it was about a task much more important, and quite
often ignored: trusting ourselves and allowing ourselves to be inspired.
Learning how to trust our instincts to the point of putting ourselves in motion
is a wonderful skill to have. With their book, Pushy For A Moment, Joanne
and Romanus give us a tool to prosper for a lifetime.
By
the way, this book is written how books SHOULD be written. Joanne and Romanus
each get a Gold Star on top of their ‘A’ for the day; the book is a quality 21
pages. I mean, let’s get serious; most books have about 10 to 30 pages of real
value, but authors, editors, and publishers stretch this value into 200 pages or
more. Hats off to the authors of Pushy For A Moment, for giving useable
value in concentrate form. I can put the principles of this book to use
immediately, without having to set aside hours of reading time (I read slowly,
as it is).
Your
homework: Trust your intuition, and purchase a copy of
Pushy For A Moment.
