“Deliverance” by Kim Baker

admin October-22-2009

This is a song I wrote about perseverance during difficult times.  It is about finding the good and joy in life, no matter what.  And it would be a great tune for dogs to dance along with! :)

We’ve heard the saying that the world has gone to the dogs. What has happened in the past is returning again. It’s boogie woogie time. An old retro jazzy music style returns with a modern doggie influence.

This song mentions some of the famous movie, cartoon, and advertising dogs of the past. In this Doggie Boogie movie, some new canines will be added to the list.

This song is about struttin’ all across America. Struttin’ means dancing, marching, showing off, displaying one’s talents and charms.  This is what the canine actors will be doing in this movie. San Francisco is mentioned at the 1:30 point in the song.

A marching band struts, fashion models strut, a turkey struts, peacocks strut, roosters strut, Mick Jagger struts across the stage, and now it’s time for movie audiences everywhere to start Doggie Boogie Struttin’.

This song can be heard on some 60,000 + jukeboxes. Strut on over to your favorite eating place or bowling center and see if they have a TouchTunes, Rock-Ola, or Rowe-AMI digital jukebox installed.  If so, this song can be found in their SEARCH area.

The expression, “What’s Cookin’?” has several meanings.  It can mean “what’s up”, or it can refer to cooking food.

For this submission into the Doggie Boggie Song Contest, it now has a new “flavor”. The question now asked is “What’s cookin’ with that special female doggie my canine friend and I haven’t visited in a long time?
